- Balloons
  Balloons spawn in clusters in both the foreground and background. They float away. You can't pop them.Open
- Content Aware Image Resizing
  Everything is implemented client side. The entire canvas is a dropzone, so drag an image to it, or use the file browser. Resize the image with the slider. (Current status: Shrinking seems to be working ok. Growing needs a better pixel generation algorithm. Large files will take a long time to process. Try testing with a 1px resize to get a rough idea of how long it would take to do more.)Open
- 1¢ Gesture Recognizer
  A javascript implementation of a fast, single-stroke gesture recognizer (the 1¢ Recognizer) from a research publication that came out of my former lab. See the paper and a Java implentation by the author, Jim Herold.Open
- Trees
  Generate trees, one line at a time. Randomly chooses to branch out based on some criteria around length and depth. The count at the bottom left is the number of individual lines used to make what you're currently seeing.Open
- Double Rainbow
  All the way across the sky. Yeah. Yeah. So intense. There's also some clouds.Open
- Mini-map
  I was making a game, then I got bored. All you can do right now is move the little black circle and scroll around the map. The minimap is kind of cool.Open
- Path Exploration
  Playing around with path exploration. Click on squares to toggle their state (black = blocked, white = clear). This actually runs an algorithm to find all paths, then just picks the shortest one to run.Open
- Mushrooms
  Click to make mushrooms. Based on the Wild Mushroom spell from World of Warcraft. Ctrl-click to detonate. Shift-click to clear screen.Open
- Maze Generation
  Playing around with different ways to generate a maze. Restrictions for the maze are: two-dimensions, one entry, one exit, all cells are reachable, no cycles.Open
- Nyancat Menu
  A lava lamp style navigation menu with a cute nyancat to guide you.Open
- Mario Maker UI
  I saw some cool looking things in Mario Maker and I decided to try to replicate them here.Open
- Parallax Star Field
  Pixel stars in four layers set to move about as you move your mouse.Open

- Flyout Menu

- WoW Quest Completion Tracker
  A quest completion tracker I wrote to help me track down information on what quests I hadn't yet completed in World of Warcraft.Explore

  A lookup table I made for my son and I to help us keep track of the effectiveness of different pokemon types vs. each other. Two modes are available, type based and pokemon based lookup.Explore
- HTML5 Canvas Tooltip Library
  A very appropriately named javascript tooltip library. I haven't updated it for some time and I think many of the things I did are now doable with just css, but I think it wasn't bad overall.Explore
- WoW Progress Widget
  This is a widget I made that pulls data from wowprogress.com. It displays the top 10 ranked guilds based on region, tier, and group size.Explore

Menu Design
I got the idea for the main menu I'm using here from the game Broken Age by Double Fine Productions. I figured I could pull it off in css. Implementing it is what kicked off the redesign of this site. Check out the original.

The "ripped paper" edge is my own creation, but to get the paper effect on the inner content I used the Paper 1 texture by Atle Mo. I was able to find it on Transparent Textures
Transition Effects
I love working with CSS transitions and animations. I probably went a little overboard with them here. The flip animation on the list elements with the image previews comes from Flipside by Hakim El Hattab. The modal animation is based on the Make Way! transition by Manoela Ilic.
Social Media Menu
I developed the social media menu on the home screen using arbor.js. It came about as a result of trying (and failing) to use it for something completely different. The images for the social media icons are by Debbie Campbell.
